I didn’t set out to build a social media business. I set out to help people connect.
I’ve been working in social media since 2010, but long before that, I’ve always been someone who paid attention to people, how they communicate, what makes them trust someone, and what makes them tune out. Social media just became the place where all of that showed up at once.
Over the years, I’ve watched social media change from something fun and conversational into something that feels noisy, performative, and overwhelming. I’ve also watched a lot of really good business owners lose confidence because they felt like they didn’t “fit” what social media had become.
That never sat right with me.
I’m a dad first. I’ve raised two daughters, and if there’s one thing being a parent teaches you, it’s this: people don’t connect because you’re perfect, they connect because you’re real. You listen. You show up. You earn trust over time. That same idea applies to business and social media.
I care deeply about helping people show up online in a way that feels like them, not like a character they’re playing or a version they think the internet wants. I’ve seen what happens when someone finally stops overthinking every post and starts communicating like a human again.
Confidence comes back. Conversations start. Opportunities follow.
My own journey hasn’t been linear. I started college decades ago, life happened, and I stepped away. Years later, I went back and finished what I started, not because I needed the degree, but because it mattered to me to keep a promise I made to myself. That experience reinforced something I already believed: growth doesn’t have a deadline.
That belief shows up in how I work with clients.
I don’t rush people. I don’t shame them for what they don’t know. I meet them where they are and help them move forward with clarity and confidence. Sometimes that means strategy. Sometimes it means reassurance. Often, it means simplifying things so they finally feel doable.
I’m not here to make you go viral.
I’m here to help you build a presence that feels honest, sustainable, and aligned with who you are and how you actually work.
If you’ve ever felt like social media was pulling you away from your values instead of supporting them, I get it. And I built The Social Leader for people exactly like you.
Let’s make your online presence feel real again.
